HOW TO SAVE FOR YOUR TRIP

HOW TO SAVE FOR YOUR TRIP

The only problem all of us have right now is how to save for our trip.Well,I used to be like all of you, thinking where people get their money from to afford Europe holiday every year. I'm a full time tutor and my earning is not soo bad. But no matter how much you earn, I believe you can make your travel wishes true as long as you follow my tips below.

So here are a few tips on HOW TO SAVE FOR YOUR TRIP.

1. PLAN YOUR HOLIDAY 1 YEAR AHEAD

Yes....that's right !! I planned all my big holidays approximately one year before and there are many reasons why. You will have more time to save for your trip and you can also save some money on hotels, especially. If you book your hotel earlier it will be so much cheaper. You will be surprised looking at the difference in cost. In that one year, you will have to plan a budget and how much you will need to save every month till the month of your travel. I save 50% of my salary every month. I know 50% is kinda alot. However, you will be able to manage that if you follow step 2.

2.CUT DOWN YOUR EXTRA EXPENSES

I have an amount that I spare for my commitments. This commitments are usually loans (car/house repayment,PTPTN ,etc..),bills, fuel and toll recharge. You need to make a budget for all your commitments or expenses and try to minimize your extra expenses which are usually SHOPPING. If for that particular month you've exceeded your extra expenses amount, DO NOT SPEND the following month. Think before spending unnecessarily.

3. PLAN YOUR BUDGET

Before I go for the holiday I planned, my next holiday is already in progress. It gives me more time to do my budget research. I read a lot about the country before planning. It gives me ideas on how expensive/cheap will spending be in that country and how much I need to bring. Usually you have to find out how much is a bottle of water to know if that country is expensive/cheap.

HOW TO PACK YOUR BAG FOR WINTER

HOW TO PACK YOUR BAG FOR WINTER

I wasn’t born in a cold country.I’ve lived the majority of my life on the desert sun (Malaysia).

Anyway,I have taken it upon myself to research and purchase the best winter clothes i could get here in Malaysia.I usually shop in Winter Time,Uniqlo and Universal Traveller. An additional information for those who don’t want to spend so much, keep your eyes open for Winter Time warehouse sale on every end of October at OUG,Old Klang Road. You can get really cheap stuff there but don’t get disappointed if you can’t get your size 😅.

Okay,I'm going to list down a few important information on how to pack for winter.

1. BRING AND WEAR LAYERS

You should bring layers that are warm enough like thermal layers (I got mine from
uniqlo).Plus, you can remove your coat in case you don’t want to look a like in all of your pictures (for Instagram 😂).Bring a few scarves,It can keep you warm and it will give you different looks too.

2. BRING WATERPROOF SHOES

Make sure you keep your feet warm and cozy. You might face rain or snow which can get your shoes wet.I bought mine from Winter Time during sale,it cost me about 200RM.Do not forget to bring a few wool socks. You might want to use in the hotel room too especially at night.

3. USE PACKING CUBES TO COMPRESS YOUR. BULKY CLOTHES

Most of us have overweight luggage issues and its not cheap to buy extra luggage. Most of the winter coats are bulky and takes up a lot of space.Packing cubes are the best thing you can buy to solve this problem. They help you in making your clothes less bulky, which means more room to shop 💪🏼

4. GET WINTER WARMERS/ INSTANT DISPOSABLE HEAT PACK

You can’t stand cold weather? Then this is for you.Are you a Malaysian ? Then its probably for you too because most of us are not used to cold weather. These winter warmer comes in 3 different sizes for your hands, feet and body. You can get them in any winter clothing store.
